I am in the circle of richer friends and there are few children. My anecdotal theory is harder drive in their families on career, education, etc resulted in this. And their families probably provided for that high economic connectedness, which enabled them for success. Genetic oblivion is a terrible reward for all that work.
Which is a benefit in itself, it adds texture and is inoffensively flavoured (hell on the right day or if I haven't drank enough water yet it can taste great). All without adding many calories to the meal. It's also a much cheaper alternative than ozempic for those of us who don't have the consistent willpower to not treat ourselves to more food when we're hungry even if we know we have all the calories we need.

You are much more likely to gain weight if you eat biscuits until you feel full versus eating lettuce to feel full. I.e. if you eat the same volume of BLT vs bacon sandwhich without the lettuce and tommato you will have consumed less calories with the one that is less calorie dense.

If something doesn't emanate from the whole of society and doesn't keep it from falling apart - the society will fall apart and seize to exist as a whole. We may call that "something" ethics just to give a clear meaning to that word and repair some of the immeasurable damage done to it by modern philosophy. Only then ethics can be used as one of the foundations of law.

The hopes of self-repairing cyclical nature are a coping mechanism that seeks to avoid the reality of self-destructive cycles - the repairs are never complete, destruction accumulates until repairs are no longer possible.
Moved on how? Satellites are useful for launch detection and cueing but as far as we know there isn't a satellite constellation capable of tracking airborne targets with enough precision for targeting. And the military couldn't really keep such satellites secret: the emissions would be impossible to hide.
