Petition to Remove members voting rights from the CABForum who have a commercial interest: https://chng.it/WcR6t2WQd2

Do you get flagged in any databases here : https://www.ssltrust.com.au/ssl-tools/website-security-check

As I know google is partnered with a lot of them and if your flagged in one you’ll need to contact them to get removed.

Looks to be just a basic UI to your data provider. What makes you better than all the others doing the same and selling it or open sourcing theirs?

I am really not liking this Sam guy and how he does things. He has an attitude of “my way and only my way, and I don’t care what you think or do”

This is pretty much quintessential founder behavior. I have had my run-ins with people like this, and the relationship is usually short lived. I do not drink the kool-aid, and question pretty much everything. These types of personalities are like oil and water and do not mix. You almost need a third person to act as a emulsifier to allow the oil&water to mix without separating.

An emulsifier role is a great way to put it. In basketball, that's the glue guy.

Yeah this explains why most of my interviews with startups haven't gone well. I've even had friends ask me to do PoC work for them for equity, and they still get all bent out of shape when I'm not instantly smitten by their one-sentence pitch, and instead ask for more details about their business plan.

If I thought I had a great idea, I would want people to try to poke holes in it. Yet founders often universally seem to be the incredibly sensitive and insecure about their idea.

You don't like the sister rapist Sam Altman[1][2]? Seems like everybody should LOVE this guy!

> "Sam and Jack, I know you remember my Torah portion was about Moses forgiving his brothers. “Forgive them father for they know not what they’ve done” Sexual, physical, emotional, verbal, financial, and technological abuse. Never forgotten."

That is...not a pretty picture. We desperately need someone else at the helm of OpenAI.

Him and pretty much the entire SV culture.

Relax guys, he's Open!

Open for business, Open to suggestions, and Open season for any lawyers that want a piece of the sizable damages.

Heavily self-promoting, brash aren’t-I-great business sorts are a pretty damn consistent type across time, and it’s not a good type.

That’s all successful tech companies out of Silicon Valley.

It is a silly place.

On second thought, let's not go there.

It's not just successful companies though. There is a bit of ego necessary in a founder that makes them think their idea or their implementation of a thing is better so that it needs to be its own company. Sometimes though they even get caught up in their own reality distortion fields with obviously bad ideas or ideas implemented badly due to their own arrogance that ultimately fails.

Sales for my business has been great for about a year now. I was just about to hire my first person. The last few weeks sales from google clicks have dropped a LOT and I think this is why. Now I am not so sure about hiring someone. Thanks google.

BunnyCDN

Do you use them in prod. The price is alluring. Thinking of putting my next large project on there.

Compared to Cloudflare, they're slow unless you use their premium providers. But that just makes sense, cheap peering and storage = low prices.

I have.. they are OK. just stick with the Pull Zones.

What the best free place to subscribe to, to get notified of hacks like this? Some place that is quick at getting them added/listed and notifying people. As I often hear about it in the news first which is day+ after it’s released and not soon enough

Depends on the type of hack. Haveibeenpwned is a classic, but i don't think it covers cases like this, it's more for username/password/PII breaches.

I'd say twitter perhaps but you have to follow the right sources

They just offered me 50% of for 3 years if I upgrade to membership. I don’t want to use their cloud password storage tho. I prefer to sync it all via iCloud.

Have you ever done a charge back for an online purchase? You card or ip may be flagged as a person who does charge backs.

What’s the stats for the Aussie search engine usage?

Honestly I have no idea. There is no tracking of any kind on it. I should probably hook one of those newer awstats implementations into the caddy logs for it to get some idea though.

You don’t need tracking to have usage information.

True. I just never bothered with anything. I get some basic details out of cloudwatch, but that's about it. As mentioned I think I should do something with what comes out of caddy one of these days.
