I have a somewhat unusual work and education history. I spent several years working as a freelance writer, when the field was still profitable, before AI became a major disruptor. I also worked as a business systems consultant for an accounting firm.
I have a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Maine System, with a minor in Management Information Systems. I’m currently taking a graduate-level Business Intelligence course at Lamar University. Afterward, I plan to decide whether to pursue a master’s degree in Management Information Systems or IT, using the credits I’ve already earned.
I’m comfortable using, compiling, and implementing open-source software. I’m a FOSS enthusiast and have used Debian Linux as my daily driver for decades. I’m open to trying something new, whether in business operations, marketing, data analytics, or an entry-level role in another area.
