I like the shelly's too. I have one controlling my garage door opener and its been working out there without any air conditioning for maybe 5 years now and still going great. Our summers get to 90-100 F for a couple months too.

I feel like this is the deal. If you already have a revolving door of tons of entry level developers you hire to churn code then AI agents are no difference to your process. The thorough approval and testing process you already have from that works the same.

I got tired of the price hikes of the ad free netflix and finally canceled. Since they added the ad tiers it got too expensive for what it was worth to me and I won't pay someone to watch their ads.

Illinois has a bunch of these too. They would always sell expanding what gambling is allowed by saying that the proceeds were going to go to pay for public schools, but its hard to say if that is true or not. Even if the gambling money goes to schools seems like it just frees up other tax money for whatever else. Now here its like a town of 4000 will have over a dozen places offering electronic slot machines. It's like every gas station and bar has them now. And then you can also have stuff like draft kings and fan duel on your phone. It seems like it would be inescapable once you fell into the habit of gambling.

I dunno, looking back I don't think that soap was really the problem. I'd see people complain about how complicated soap was while not using a library for it. Then say REST was so much easier as they piped the JSON through eval to get things working.

Ahah. In my days SOAP libraries were kinda shitty up to the point I had to write my own to handle "non-standard" (actually very standard) WSDL definitions. SOAP consumption in one lang was okeish, especially Java or .NET. But interop — oh boy. The biggest issue were services exposing SOAP interface based on code-first approach, when you write some declarative code with annotations and library transforms it into WSDL and proxy endpoints.

I've always found it kinda annoying when using a SPA for a bit and wanting to go one page back and then getting taken out of the whole site. If I want to close a site I usually close the whole tab. Maybe its just wanting what you are used to and now the SPA way is the "default" for most people?

Not all protestants were trying to change the church in a new way. The Lutheran reformation was an attempt to correct drift from papal decrees from the original christian doctrine so I wouldn't say the Catholic Church is the closest to the early church. I could see how something like the Latter Day Saint movement to be something way off the original track though.

I've seen some routers that will just silently redirect anything on port 53 to their own idea of the best dns server to use. That would probably "fix" this problem, but I always thought it was a little shady to redirect stuff like that. Makes troubleshooting problems difficult if you don't know it is happening.

I mean json might not be the best example since for a long time people would run json through a javascript engine to parse it but I can see your point.

I mean I disable javascript embedded in pdf and feel like it would have been better to not have that feature. It would spare people from the invoice.pdf email attachment viruses because most people had assumed pdf isn't going to be as bad as an exe.
