Hey, I’m Alkarim from Tuned. My co-founder, Anurag, and I spent several years looking for reliable trading infrastructure to run advanced crypto trading strategies. We tried several different open and closed source projects, but couldn’t find anything that kept exchange integrations up to date, provided tick-level strategy execution, offered trade level rebalancing across strategies, or gave us the ability to run thousands of backtests in the cloud quickly. We decided to build it, and make it available for free, so anyone, anywhere, can create a trading bot. If coding trading strategies in Tuned Script or Pine Script isn’t your thing, the Tuned mobile apps let you access hedge fund-like strategies developed by top quants on the platform for a fee- we call these Syndications. It's a lot of work, and congrats on getting this far, but I would imagine there would be a bit of a trust hurdle to overcome being a platform provider? You have to prove performance and reliability obviously, but also the fact that you aren't end-running your customers or stealing IP, I would wager. Free is always a red flag. How are you planning on addressing the trust factor?
Thanks! 100% agree. We have a big responsibility when it comes to protecting trader's IP and we don't take this role lightly. We've instrumented encryption, data integrity authentication, network traffic protection and robust monitoring to achieve this. Happy to share more details if you're interested.
Re: providing Tuned for free to strategy creators:
Tuned has a revenue share in place with strategy creators for the income generated from making their trading signals available to other traders, as well as rebate partnerships with several of the integrated exchanges. We also encourage folks to use our exchange referral links, so we can get a small percentage of the fees the exchanges collect. In the future, we may offer new paid capabilities (ie. faster backtesting for strategy creators), but we'll always strive to ensure the core product is free and accessible to anyone. It certainly helps to have leading exchanges and venture funds backing us.
Rad app. Would be nice to have more information on the cloud infra as well as the fee scheme somewhere on the landing site. Looking forward to looking a bit more in depth.
