There are more of these than you think and its usually financial institutions. I started running into it years ago when I started using a password manager which allowed to generate strings > 20 chars. Most sites worked, but a few key financial sites not so much. I went through the same frustration cycle as, you finally looking at the html. What is even worse is when someone uses DIFFERENT limits for their app vs web.
You said what I was thinking. AI can do the things I always found mind numbing and tedious, but because I did it already early in my career, I know when to intervene because the agent is not doing it correctly. I think that is the OP's point.
I think about LLMs in software today as attempting to provide a similar role as compilers in terms of translating high-level thoughts into low-level details.
The only problem is that I actually trust compilers.
if you cant hold it your hands, you don't own it. used dvd and bluray on ebay are cheaper anyway. another underutilized resource - the public library - mine has a huge catalog of movies you can borrow for free.
> another underutilized resource - the public library
As an indication of where things are going on this front, from the same publisher: Sony announced that games are not going to get distributed as physical copies anymore. So no new video games to be borrowed from public libraries, and even if you can borrow older games the new Playstations probably won't even have a disk tray to read them.
Whatever your stance on video games being something that is worth having in a library is, if they could get away with it that's probably their ideal end game for movies as well.
