I wish I had not read this. I am not kidding when I say this is ruining my day thinking about. One thing is they ruin our times. But they are in the game of ruining the rest of time for humankind, too.
Yes as everyone loves to retort, the planet will survive! We might not, the current ecosystem wont, no one and nothing we love or care about or cherish is likely to.
But a very lovely species of bug may at some point look down and marvel at the beautiful new world they've conquered. And I guess we've collectively decided we're happy to give them that.

Also hasn’t earth already survived many mass extinctions and came back stronger? Maybe this is just the next mass extinction event and the cycle repeats.

Individually for sure, as a People I like to think we could do more than another 500 years if we don't fuck it up too bad.

Could you tell me how you do this in code ? Started using uv in a very old school team and they don’t like uv simply because it’s new. Something like this is what they base it on.
It's super cumbersome so I can't really recommend it for work.
I invoke the "Select Interpreter" action. A file selector opens, then I go to the user cache directory (e.g. ~/.cache on Linux, something like %LOCALAPPDATA%\Cache on Windows). It has a `uv` subdirectory, then I drill further down until I find the directory where uv keeps its venvs. Find the venv that corresponds to your script, then go to its `bin` subdirectory and select the Python executable.
The upside is that you only have to do this once per script.
The downside is that you have to do this once per script.
Been working 8 years with Rs data.table package in research and now after I changed to the private sector I have to use python and pandas. Pandas are so terrible compared to data.table it defies belief. Even tidyverse is better than pandas which is saying something.

Sure you can. In Ohio the state controls liquor distribution so if you want to buy liquor at a grocery store you have to go into a separate area. Rated M games (when I was growing up at least) were locked in special cases. Sometimes truck stop stations sell pornography and it's behind the counter with a cover on it.
