This is the exact problem. If we have to explain this, you have missed it. Sorry, but trying to explain or try to derive a "sound" out of it is missing the point.

Donated $40.

Two days ago, there was a post on HN announcing Watsi, essentially a Kickstarter for healthcare (Sorry if I'm discrediting it's overall value in any way, it's a great idea: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4424081). Most of us in the Western world aren't the target audience for Watsi, but this seems appropriate. Can we not make this happen and see a cohesive case to be made for those asking questions about cause and background?

Screenshot for posterity as I'm sure it won't last long.

I do agree that that the Wall-clock hours argument is somewhat weak due to the international crowd behind HN, but it would be interesting to see how weekends or really more general traffic patterns such as what may happen on holidays attribute to scores. I know that in these cases, I generally diverge from my normal HN-checking patterns.

Which comment are you referring to?

I think he means the original tweet: http://twitter.com/Jason/status/12621363849 (Not that you want to see that again...)

That's the one. :/

Thanks for the support guys! I guess I wasn't sure. The best part was the comment from "bobflemming" saying to take it down because of how spiteful it made me look. Wonder who "bobfleming" was considering it showed up right around the time google alerts would have fired. I guess it worked, but at least the interwebs haz it now.

If I could vote this comment up a thousand times I would.
