They can negotiate better prices based on their scale, and even on their ability to internally source key components if needed.
E.g. if AWS/Microsoft/Google/Apple buy 80% of Micron's entire output it's probably at a much better price than the rest of us competing over the other 20% are going to get.

A global supply chain storage is a global supply chain shortage.
Most famous recent example being Apple who were absorbing the rapidly increasing cost of supply until even they had to put up the prices to reflect procurement and manufacturing reality.
And this is Apple. The company that even buys its manufacturers plant equipment in return for it being dedicated to Apple.
Yes the big boys get volume discount. But that doesn't magically entitle them to last decades's pricing.

You’re trying to refute an argument I did not make.
They do not have to be cheaper than 2016. They have to be cheaper than what your business could otherwise string together paying current market prices. And they will be.
It’s probably cheaper per unit when they buy at massive scale, but that was also true before the hardware inflation of the past couple of years. So I’m sure they are still paying much higher prices than in previous years. Many cloud services have increased prices and I suspect that will continue for at least a few more years.
Even just going to second tier cloud providers will tend to let you rent similar capacity much cheaper.
AWS and the other big cloud providers only gets close to cost efficient when you're big enough to negotiate prices that are nowhere near their public list prices.
How is client logic support for different languages designed in your project?
Some time ago I found Kafka clients for several languages are pretty much unusable due to bugs and/or performance non-debuggability. The reason, I think, was that the client logic is quite complex and each client project had to re-implement it from scratch (or use some C FFI monstrosity - which was pretty much a dead end too).
Services should be decoupled from OS distro dependencies as much as possible, otherwise you will be bitten at an unexpected moment (e.g. upgrading your distro packages) by some problem like this https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Locale_data_changes
This can be solved by building statically (or using something like Nix) or by at least using containers.
I fail to see how being on that list implies anything. Imagine for example if you are a person with some status which implies that you are socially/politically active, and some rich folk calls you and invites you to have a talk at a dinner, would you instantly decline it? For example even if you dislike this class of people, don't you at least feel curious how will this meeting pass? Isn't it an interesting, even useful experience even if you know that you are going to decline any offer he will propose there anyway?
Your notions of why Chomsky was meeting with Epstein (or more than that, why Epstein was meeting with Chomsky) are touchingly naive, especially given everything we know about how Epstein influenced other MIT faculty via funding. It certainly casts Chomsky's constant inveighing against any form of conspiratorial analysis from the left in a new light, just as Chomsky's meeting with Ehud Barak calls his criticisms of BDS into question.
The font rendering is poor, blurry on edges of the letters, even if I increase the font size (which works poorly anyway because the thin column container doesn't scale, keeps its width)
I wouldn't call it noodly.. If her composition was a bit more complex, it would be close to Debussy level probably. She's maybe like minimalist Debussy :) Check her "Ballad of the Spirits" and "The Song of the Sea".
