Mumbai, India -- Looking for someone to set-up and head Web-team

We are a husband-and-wife team who have found modest success in our online merchandising business. Presently, we operate mostly through marketplace websites. We are looking to hire someone who can help set-up and run independent online presence of our brand.

Email me at [email protected] with your details to take this forward

Edit: Regarding your location, it is imperative that the job be done on-site during the initial few months due to our involvement needed. We are willing to provide visa-assistance if we like you.

Like stevenj I would also love you hear from you how do you go about freelancing long form in today's day and age. Would greatly appreciate if you drop a line at hardik84 [at] gmail

thanks

This is the spreadsheet in question: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiHdePw7s9ISdHZ...

It helped all of 20 people.

Much as I appreciate people using simple means to exploit technology in these situations, sharing mobile phone numbers and other such details in a publicly visible document is not a good idea.

HTC Sense UI has this feature built into it.

Does it notify you before making a call or receiving one ?

Yup

There is something informally called "trial tax" in the American justice system wherein if you decide to go for trial the punishment on guilty verdict is much higher than on plea bargain.

A famous case was that of Vincent Bogan in late 80s who was given a sentence of 75 years in maximum security for three counts of armed robbery (which is quite high for the crime charged) because he refused plea bargain and went for jury trial.

I am surprised there is no mention of environmental impact of fracking and that some countries are planning to ban it.

In the comments a user mentioned the documentary that covers this impact called Gasland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasland

I recommend it higly to my fellow HNers.

Quite agree with you. Moreover, people who try to find structure are often left with a feeling of being let down. Perhaps it has become part of modern coming of age to realze that there is no structure. I think Tolstoy also tried to bring out this point in his works, esp War and Peace but also other works like Anna Karenina as well.

Yup. It's hard to embrace chaos though.. because we still love the illusion of control. (That sounds a bit too philosophical but well, it's true.)

+1 for the "storage by IIT toppers" :)

(at work now so cant access youtube but i guess the youtube link on cloud technology is the "What happens during rains?" interview?)

Yes, the line where he takes a pot shot at people from a certain college is what you had to like. No comment about the issue, maybe?

Yes, that is the video :)

Agree, I don't think StatCounter data can give a good representation of Indian internet population

> (As an Android user, I do think it's strange to pay $15 for the home screen when the whole OS is free.)

Just saw this app in action on a friends Samsung Galaxy S II.. worth every cent!
