Are all of these dark patterns seen in the wild? OR are some of these merely a dreadful warning of what may happen?

I think some examples are in order - where has the UK, having recently left the EU, changed its laws so that it was completely out of step with consumer protection? Or is this one thing that made it necessary for them to leave the union, perhaps?

That's fair - I just bought four or five books, a couple by authors I am aware of already and a couple experimental.

These days I look out for books that look a bit different from the ruts I mine and this list has been helpful in that regard.
