Very nice!

Santa Fe institute pubs? I’m curious to go there is it open to the public?

https://www.santafe.edu/research/sfi-press

BTW these books were up on amazon India for like $10-$15 each (books with slight printing defects were being dumped in the 3rd world) so I lapped up the entire collection :P

I believe they mean "publications".

I agree, how I was able to tell that Lynch’s is better was that, I could watch it without falling asleep. I tried multiple times to watch the new one but something about it kept me falling asleep

My brother got me into programming with logo which is like the original turtle. It’s pretty cool. Definitely seared recursion into my mind. And after generating graphics on the cli I felt comfortable to do simple js games

Choose the right job for the tool!

I have been to Chaco canyon. And spoke to some local Indians, they believe it was a sort of prison. So I would assume the health of the carriers was the least of their concern. It is an amazing place full of mystery.

I've made yet another magnetometer, but this one its free and no ads. It helped me locate a strong magnet in a hole I had put 5 ft underground. I was then able to excavate to it and install my main water line without digging a huge hole. check it out at: https://www.smartbrosltd.com

I didn’t even know this was a thing that was possible, let alone yet another, and Free!?

Thanks. I’ve been looking for something like this or some sort of sensor setup to do the same.

Thank you!

Sounds like an interesting story that I'm curious about... how did putting a strong magnet in the ground help you install your main water line?

I had the main rupture under my floor which is a concrete slab. so Instead of breaking the concrete I routed a new line from the outside directly to the back of my bathroom wall, where there was a small space behind the shower to access the plumbing. Luckily there was no concrete underneath the bathroom tub so I made a hole with a power washer and a very long extension wand for it, directly vertical. In this hole I put the strong neodymium magnet. Now from the outside I was able to locate exactly where my other hole was with my app. This way I was able to install a new main into my house with no damage to my structure.

Neat! Thanks for sharing!

For me the worst part is that I can use a keyboard to write code but only use a single pointer from my mouse to move stuff. It’s so much slower

Like almost anything when not used for the correct application. Say a hammer to insert a screw. It is not a good idea. One of my favorite things about using microservice, is that you can use multiple languages. This can grant you the ability to use a language which is better for the task, or for other programmers to contribute in their favorite language.

> you can use multiple languages

You can but you shouldn't unless there's a very good reason (ex: there's a very specific interface only available in a language that doesn't conform to the rest of your services) :)
