"We’ve always disclosed this to customers" Microsoft disclosed that Skype conversations can be recorded and listened to by a random person, really do I understand that correctly?? Seriously why wouldn't this be at least opt-in? Big tech really can get away with anything nowadays, imagine a small company trying to pull that off. Deleting skype account.

I'm the author of jijimaku, a free app to add dictionary definitions to subtitles if that helps.

Does the (future) sequence labeling project refers to Part Of Speech tagging?

That would certainly be one of them.

Thanks for noticing :) This article actually started as a debug page where I displayed all the images to see what was wrong.

Generating constructions is very different from generating terrain, so I'd probably try a 2-step process where the building generator can be seeded by the terrain relief. But it's not trivial for sure. See also https://github.com/mxgmn/WaveFunctionCollapse#higher-dimensi... because it's relevant and looks awesome :)

That was a great project. I saw it when it popped up on Hacker News.

Do you have a source for this? I never heard it before.

18 months on – Impact of the Interchange Fee Regulation on the European Union cards market [1]

France recently passed a law that makes it illegal for companies to take deliberate steps to reduce the shelf life of a product in order to increase its replacement rate. Of course in practice it will be difficult to prove, but still having a law is a good start.

Well as you suspected that is not true. Maybe your friend doesn't understand his bank interface? If anything the Japanese use bank transfer(furikomi) more than in the west because credit cards are less used.

Remember "the West" includes the Nordic countries, Germany, and other parts of Europe where credit cards are less common and bank transfers are free. At least in Scandinavia, the app-based bank transfer methods are widely used to pay for purchases or to repay friends.
