goto a non-emergency hospital, tell them no insurance. Get the help you need now, worry about bill later. They can't deny you because of no money or no insurance.

I really don't see your point here. What does this have to do with anything? Was this time spent pushing your skills and learning new stuff, or a focus on the basics? The 10k rule is debatable.

WP? really? You do web dev, but purchased a theme? Why not create your own? Seems odd imho.
This is after tax money. Financial advisers are like car salesmen unless you're extremely rich. I'm already taking care of my investment portfolio (bonds, index funds, etc.). What they're gonna say is "double down", "increase your position". 500k because I'm aiming for places like Seattle, Austin, Denver, etc. Still looking to stay around a tech hub that is still cheaper than the Bay Area.
"A provisional application for patent has a pendency lasting 12 months from the date the provisional application is filed. The 12-month pendency period cannot be extended. " - Sounds like a waste of money, so just get a real one?
If you've ever looked into getting a patent, it's expensive (for a normal person not making much money), like thousands of dollars. I don't have that kind of extra money right now, and a provisional patent application is only $100. This will suffice until I can get funding so I can still test my idea, because the "patent pending" status would protect it from being stolen.
I refer to my handwritten notes on this all the time, and seemingly no matter how consistently I apply the ideas in my dealings with others, I always have a feeling that I wish I was doing better at it.
