Wasn't that the premise of the movie? Anna Kendrick's character was hired by the company to capture the process of firing people so they could do it remotely.

I wonder if there's a connection to Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) supplementation.

NR is a precursor to NAD+, which has been shown to improve mitochondrial function especially under stress.

NAD+ is one of those molecules used in a ton of metabolic processes and over a lifespan NAD+ avalability declines. This decline is linked to numerous age-related diseases. There's a bit of research showing NAD+ supplementation contributes to anti-aging effects.

NR is easy to take, well-tolerated, and a cheap precursor for NAD+. There are IV clinics that have NAD+ infusions, but they cost like $500. On the other hand, you can get a month's supply of NR for around $50 (Thorne's ResveraCel).

Note that Magnesium Citrate is often used as a laxative. It's usually an order of magnitude higher amount of magnesium than when you're taking it as a supplement though.

But if you are sensitive to magnesium's laxative effects you may want to look for another formulation.

Magnesium L-threonate may have better cognitive than other formulations, but I wonder if a magnesium glycinate formulation would be better for anxiety/stress reduction.

Anectdotally also, I take Magnesium Bisglycinate from Thorne occasionally and it helps me relax and feel less anxious. My muscles stay pretty rigid normally and after taking the magnesium supplement I can feel everything loosen up. Helps with sleep too.

In my specific instance, I have taken both.

I experienced some reduction in anxiety with the glycinate. It also seems to be the best form for sleep support.

But the l-threonate was on the level of an SSRI for me. The anti-anxiety effect was really pronounced.

They are backed by cex.io which is an exchange that trades GH/s for BTC.

They are able to run a pool for 0% fee, along with mining a couple of other altcoins makes them a more profitable pool than others.

Thanks! I forgot about that site. I was looking at it before, but was waiting for a Rails 4 update. It looks like a Rails 4 version of it was just recently put out, so I'll definitely go through it.

Not in reference to railstutorial.org, but I think the hard part about finding resources online is that it's hard to determine if it's still a good resource or outdated. This one looks good though!

This is a really good idea. I think it would help a lot. Do you know of any good screencasts?

As an avid collector of links, I know of these paid sites:

[1] https://www.destroyallsoftware.com/screencasts - Seems more advanced than an intro course.

[2] http://www.letscodejavascript.com/ - Looks good, but for javascript. It does look like it's better geared toward beginners.

[3] https://peepcode.com/ - Has play-by-play's, but it's quite expensive.

Author of letscodejavascript.com here. The series is intended for professional developers, so I don't spend any time on "this is the command line, this is a variable," but we do build an application from scratch. It's very much the immersion approach, and we cover a lot of things OP is wondering about (command line, Node, npm, Git, TDD). It could well be a good fit.

Ubuntu Mono for me.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Source Sans Pro Mono [1] though.

I have the Sennheiser 558 headphones [1] and Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 (now UE600) in-ear monitors [2].

For the most part I use the Sennheiser's. They sound great and are open, so you can hear people talking if someone wants to get your attention. They are very comfortable and I can wear them all day without a problem. They come with a pretty long cord too, which I guess is a plus for some people.

If I want to be dead to the world, I'll put in the UE's. Even if you aren't playing any music, they will block out most of the outside world. The sound is better than the Sennheiser's, but I tend to only have one earphone in most of the time, so that I can hear people come by. Also, the cord is pretty short, so without an extension, you're limited in the range you can travel around.

I would try to sway anyone away from using Bose headphones. Really, you're paying for the name, not the sound.

If you want to do some research, I would suggest checking out Headfonia [3]. They have really well thought out reviews on most of the headphones/earphones/amps in any budget range.
