Curious if you would share what that new career is.

Counselling. I won't be a psychologist or anything but there's a need for counselors. At first, I'll be volunteering with a phone and text based crisis support organisation (https://www.lifeline.org.au/). Eventually, I hope to open my own counselling service but that will be a few years down the track.

I think your main problem here is that you're too worried about what other people think of you. Does it really matter that some guys don't think you're that manly? Why do you need their validation?

I don't need validation. I need to stop behaving weak in some situations, and be natural at it.

You look for validation, and not having enough makes you think that you're weak, and probably this is your natural behavior. You're not going to overcome it with tricks. But you probably took the first step admitting it.

Or it means you should always get everything in writing no matter what side you're on. A simple statement regarding how the shares vest would have prevented this.

It sounds like Jeremy wasn't at the company long enough to get that sorted out. I am curious why he left so soon though.

The complaint says he was ousted by Vogt unilaterally.

True, I'm wondering what Vogt's response would be. I'm also curious why Kyle would want Jeremy gone after a month.

How did Yahoo get out of it? I thought they were also implicated.

It might help to cut costs by removing products that don't really have a future, but I don't see how this would help with the real problem: where are the new growth products that will define what Yahoo is going forward. They've acquired companies left and right and not seen anything from it.

I've lost over 15lb since April by being very strict about my diet. I wasn't overweight before, but I wanted to be around 6% body fat. I use Happy Scale (for iPhone) and weigh myself everyday and use that to really push myself to eat healthy for the day. It's been tough and I've had to work hard at it, but I have only a few more pounds to go until my goal.

Congrats on the successful weight loss! Haven't tried Happy Scale, but do you think the diet is long-term sustainable?

I've been going low carbs for a while with good success, but the second I have momentary weakness and cave, I put on weight so fast.

Hi niveus,

I'm the guy that makes Happy Scale. Glad to see it's been helpful to you. Would love to get a fellow HN-er's thoughts on what could be improved... if you have any, drop me a line at [email protected].

There is an app called Keychain Access on the mac which allows you to copy a password to the clipboard. If they're using iCloud keychain and they can login to their iCloud account, you might be able to pull it off that way.

This won't work. Yahoo credentials are stored for later use as "XYMCOOKIE" which is some kind of hashed authentication mechanism for SMTP and IMAP. And yes, I tried. I also attempted to monitor SSL communications through SMTP and saw the XYMCOOKIE exchange firsthand. This sucks :-/

That's what I did when the same happened to me. Enable iCloud Keychain on the iPad and the Mac, wait for the passwords to sync (might take a few minutes) and then open Keychain Access on the Mac and find the password on it.

This did not work because the Yahoo password is not stored on the device after being entered. Apparently Yahoo has something called XYMCOOKIE authentication for SMTP and IMAP which is basically just acceptance of a pre-sent hash/cookie. The iPad discards the actual password the first time you enter it and instead stores a XYMCOOKIE.

See here: https://www.google.com/search?q=XYMCOOKIE+authentication

Oh, I figured they had used Safari but it makes sense that they used the builtin Mail app.

FYI: It's being A/B tested so you might not get the new version.
