Interesting point. By the way, have you found your match yet?

Good question! I might have, time will tell.

Here's the Nexus 4 page: http://www.google.com/nexus/4/ Indeed, Google is everywhere, and Android is mentioned at the very bottom.

That's what I call a clever fall-back strategy!

I think it's smart for them to keep the mobile upload only strategy. It keeps their network free of reposted images instead of live pictures. Or at least it tries to.

It also allows them to offload a lot of the processing to the client, and not have to worry about infrastructure to deal with cropping, resizing, etc.

I concur. I think they are still very much with the core of the initial Instagram concept - click/edit/upload photos easily on the go. The core concept still remains the same.

That could make sense.

That's a great article. I thought I was pretty secure with the two-factor authentification. But with the 'socialing' technique it looks quite easy to break. To me, the best advice is to give bogus answers to security questions. That leaves very little chance to pass through the password resetting process.

To be fair, they spent a lot of time, beside the main Genome project, to build and try out interfaces to showcase artworks, which has always suffered a poor UX. It was in closed beta, though, but I had the chance to see their progress on this side and I can tell it is pretty amazing.

You can follow the movement with the hashtag #geonpi alongside the handle @DefensePigeons.

Simple and great service! I read it every morning. I know it's critical to keep it simple and easy to read, though I'd love to have the weather forecast for the day as well.

Always good to remember, as these rules of thumb apply to any kind of professional relation.
