Ah, the painful migration to Clickhouse from v2 to v3 makes sense now https://langfuse.com/self-hosting/upgrade/upgrade-guides/upg...

This is not why v3 made those changes over a year ago, your cause & effect are mistaken

AWS have also made their own cost analysis MCP server https://github.com/awslabs/mcp/tree/main/src/cost-analysis-m...

What a great solution. They can leverage this to avoid liability for their own price quotes and solutions while simultaneously adding another layer of vender lock-in. synergy

How does this avoid liability for anything?

I don't think anyone's really stated this outright, but large companies must believe they're not liable for anything their models/AI products are producing. That must be the case for their business model to work.

A better question is how can they be held liable at all.

LiteLLM seemed to be the best approach for what I needed - simple integration with different models (mainly OpenAI and the various Bedrock models) and the ability to track costs / limit spending. It's working really well so far.

Why would you want to build your own accounting ledger from scratch? Accounting is a completely new domain for most engineers, and TigerBeetle (https://tigerbeetle.com/) already solves this problem.

I think our definition of «solved» might be slightly different hehe.

«The production release of TigerBeetle is imminent.»

Not putting money into this system any time soon in other words.

This is very impressive, but whilst it was very fast with Mixtral yesterday, today I waited 59.44s for a response. If I was to use your API, the end-to-end is much more important than the Output Tokens Throughput and Time to first token metrics. Will you also publish average / minimum / maximum end-to-end times too?

Yes, sorry about that, it's because of the huge uptick in demand we've had since we went viral. We're building out more and more hardware to cope with demand. I don't think we have any quality of service guarantees for our free tier, but you can email [email protected] to discuss your needs.
