I don't think we should be calling out what works for someone else as "a terrible strategy". People work in different ways - don't assume your way is the only right way.
Yeah this is a good approach I try to customize my CV off a base for every role. Even shoving it in a new company-name folder in Dropbox.
Even though the person is asking for them to apply they are probably asking a lot of people so are going to scan your resume looking for keywords and alignment to a role
My gf and I use these exact headphones. Have tried several others (eg sleepy phones) which are good but I found these are a perfect cost to quality ratio. I charge them maybe once per week
I think they're pretty good. Some have an annoying flashing LED that could annoy a bed sharer but could be cured with a piece of tape inside the headband, and they have occasionally abruptly woken me up with a loud "LOW BATTERY" warning.
The other issue I have noticed is the volume changes whether you are lying on the back of your head, or with your head on its side with the ear pressed against the earpiece. Short of putting some gyroscope thing inside the unit, though, I'm not sure how they could correct for that.
"better" in that it's less risky to have covid than to drive? Might need a reference on that claim. My quick googling only thing I found a comparison to doing bomber runs over nazi Germany during ww2 for older generations.
Most of the people upset about the lockdowns seem to be people living outside of New Zealand. Quick search shows that currently 85% of New Zealanders agree with the current lockdown approach. We've seen what it did to Australia by not properly locking down. People are paid a covid support wage subsidy through their business to ensure that they stay being paid.
Yeah, NZ phased ours out late 80s/1990. 2004 we phased out the 5c piece as well.
Anecdotally (as in I might be wrong :) I remember hearing at the time the 5c piece was phased out it was worth less than when the 1/2c pieces were originally released. NB I have put zero effort into thinking if that makes sense or is true. (edit - confirmed)
[ Edit ] - We also made every other coin smaller. It's always startling to get an Australian 50c coin - even though it's the same size as ours used to be. Our's is now smaller than the AU 20c.
I'd say 99% of my transactions are apple pay now, with 1% being rare place that doesn't take paywave. I still have couple buck of cash for those super rare cash purchases on side of the road (damn they need alipay or something like that - NZ is kinda stuck with 'good enough' banking and failing to see innovation from Revolut and the like in Europe - that said surprised how much cash still used in Europe).
