I think we're beyond this already for most Claude/ChatGPT users they just assume that everything is written by AI because that's what they'd do. Credibility has been lost, but certainly there are many cases where human thinking will improve the final artifact, I think it's enough to focus on improving quality vs some moral high ground.

> If the task turns out to be unneeded, go back to 1.

No one person should decide that a task is "unneeded".

Most items in this suggested workflow are actually attainable via SCRUM.

Was really interested in reading this until.. "ditches the Escape key for a dedicated emoji bar".

There's a model with a normal keyboard, including esc. Even features a 10% larger battery and saves $200.

It also comes with only 2 USB ports, out of which you need one for charging.

So? Generally you are either at a desk (often with a display, keyboard, and mouse), or you are traveling lighter and don't need to connect many usb devices.

So for each desk get a widget that takes a tb3/usb-c connection and connects to your mouse/monitor/keyboard.

Basically an instant dock. If you really hook up more than one device, travel light, AND need more than 10 hours a day buy a little usb hub.

I suspect over 95% of laptop use is either at a desk or requires less than 2 USB-C/tb3 ports.

Nowadays, TB2 hubs are not cheap (200-300 EUR) and I don't expect TB3 to be cheap either. Just USB3 hub does not cut it, it will be a while until you will be able to connect displays using USB3.

Even today, I'm using two TB2 ports and one USB port (i.e. three ports on the computer) because: 1 x miniDP (no, most displays are not TB2 native and cannot daisy-chain with other TB devices), 1 x ethernet adapter (the Apple one cannot daisy-chain either), and USB hub for the rest.

New (granted not quite shipping) hubs/docks sound like $100 or so. You sit down, connect the tb3/usbc cable and your mouse, keyboard, and display works. Of course your laptop is getting charged as well.

The use case at the moment is around media that includes audio of the user. Usertesting.com sessions work well, but because you don't get any audible feedback from Inspectlet we can't really do much analysis on those sessions as our tech is focused on transcriptions and analyzing user testing transcriptions.

It's hard to read stories like this. It's so clear that the diversity issues in the tech industry are in part a signal of a much larger issue in our nation. Under represented minorities have such a tough time getting a decent education let alone one in computer science.

That said, I'm hopeful that the industry that I'm a part of can play a large role in fixing this.

I went through far worse getting myself through college and yet I made it. Life isn't supposed to be easy.

you mean people in poverty regardless of ethnicity...

This seems potentially misleading without proper context, like... were "favorites" growing before, if so at what rate?

+1 not sure where "to store the information in the DHT you'd have to attach it to a torrent" comes from.

It comes from the fact that the Mainline DHT is specifically about BitTorrent nodes and who has which torrents. The client programs don't just pass information around willy-nilly.

Sounds like they're sorting through the contents: "We'll give away or properly dispose of your items."

Disposing items properly costs money. Donating items doesn't. So the incentive for them is to "donate" as much trash as possible. Then non-profit org will have to deal with it.

Sorry, I just don't like non-profits being treated as a free dumping site.

I hear your concern and I hope they have no intention of treating non-profits as a free dumping site. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and not just assume the worst of them.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll definitely be focusing on stability and getting updates out as often as possible in the next few weeks. Definitely send in any other feedback you have if you continue to give it a shot.
