It's even better with a podcast app that can have a directory read as a podcast. Have to click once more though to have the"podcasts"refreshed to get it in my playlist. Still cool for podcasts that are only on YouTube and Spotify.
If you want to know what cribs mean and would like to learn a little about cryptography, and also enjoy a good hacker novel taking place during WW2 and also in 00's Philippines - I would like to recommend Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. Best and funniest book I've read last year.
Have a friend with sensitive gut. He has to use protein extract instead of concentrate due to issues from lactose.
He had issues with creatine too and switched to Creapure, which is monohydrate from one factory in Germany producing just that. With their nazi like attention to details and certification. It's sold by multiple providers.
The aforementioned friend has no issues now.
Instead of switching from cheapest to most expensive, I take a mid-shelf creatine that also has some certs and never had issues. hn hates name drops, but it's a Polish medium price supplement company. And I use pills, because I just hate the hassle of measuring and mixing it. Eat 10g in 8 big pills.
It's even more anegdotical, but supposedly some cheaper brands give you bad stomach because to save money they use the same production/packaging line without expensive thorough cleaning in between products.
But the logic about water absorption makes more sense. And it would be rare to have such high level of people with issues from creatine just because of negligent cost cutting production/packaging practices. OTOH, I work in food production myself and heard some people say how things look in other places and could believe that people get bad stomach at least from some producers/packagers/resellers.
Thanks to snap I've learned of Librewolf. Couldn't install non snap Firefox, so just got ff fork instead.
Also, after a system update all PPAs (including Librewolf) got turned off, so I went like a year without updating the browser. Fun stuff.
Also, snap is now partially fixed. It used to take all your drive space with old versions of snaps. You needed a special script to remove them automatically.
Now there's no more than 2(?) old versions of snaps anytime. Progress!
But not to complain too much, Ubuntu still kind of works. I moved my laptop to Fedora, and almost did it with the desktop, but learned of Librewolf. Should probably remove the fedora root and home at some point. Don't remember any issues that were not caused by me (other than snaps). Compared to Windows with it's auto updates when you need PC for sth critical, ads everywhere and this annoying way of installing software not from terminal and having to update it manually separate from system updates. Ubuntu did a lot for Linux, maybe more it's community than canonical, but it will always have a place in my heart.
I got a pair of T-shirts from These Glory Days. Wore them like 20% of time last two years and they look better then some others after 2 washes (albeit changed from them after coming back to work, and use work clothes at work, so not like they were used THAT much. So it's not always the expensive stuff that's equal to the cheap stuff. And funny thing, got them on a sale because they were pretty cheap, not really because I knew that they were quality.
Though had my wife with me when shopping and she might have "felt" the material and said that it was good for that price. Her mum is a seamstress if I remember the word correctly as somebody who sews clothes.
Seamstress is still a thing, and different from a tailor AFAIK (probably a lot of overlap)? I have 2 friends for whom that's their job, and they do refer to themselves as seamstresses
But can anyone from China or who has been there confirm this meme? I don't doubt, but given the diverse milieu in here, there's a good chance somebody with first hand experience can say something.
I'm currently teaching Chinese high school students, and I don't buy it. There is certain content that's blocked here, but most of what's on the local tiktok is pretty trash either way because t's not the subjects, it's the format. You can try to surface more wholesome five-second videos but even if you succeed, they'll still be five-second videos.
It used to be close to 0 (wasn't a super festival goer though) for me, so anything will feel like way more ppl using n2o.
But you're comparing 30-60s dissosiative high that gets fully metabolized in seconds to fucking alcohol - 30 days of poisonous metabolites and 50% of all killed and killers being high on that. And there's MUCH more to mention.
Even weed is not as bad as alcohol, though due to symptoms being somewhat harder to spot, the risk of functioning addiction is way higher. And it often ends up as the substance ADHD spektrum folks use for self medication (self administered action/substance aimed at equivaling naturally out of homeostasis neurotransmitter balance in brain). OTOH, two generations ago ppl used alcohol for that instead.
