Don't worry, it's a lie.

Until it isn’t. Too much faith on Google.

C'mon, just because they lied 295 times before doesn't mean they'll do it again. =)

Ahh, a cult follower, let me guess, you are doing C# full time and it is the greatest programming language ever created ?

Really, then again the bar is low in Azure.

Everything Azure Event* is crap, the drivers are so buggy.

Use Confluent and connect it with a managed postgres on aws or gcp. If you really need more, use Google Cloud Spanner.

EventHub is a perfectly acceptable product. It's basically Kafka. We used it at a fairly high scale with very few issues.

Mobile development in C# is just dead. Flutter got all the momentum.

Dead is perhaps overstating things, but I think Xamarin is problematic for new development because it hasn't kept up with the latest movement in the iOS ecosystem.

Looking at their issue tracker, it seems watchOS development is a nightmare, there's no support for catalyst, and there's no support for WidgetKit. Widgets are very hot right now, so that was disappointing.

It used to be that if you could make an app for iOS with Swift, you could make it with Xamarin. That guarantee is no longer there.

Google will move on and then all of the developers who hinged their platforms on it will need somewhere to go to.

This bugbear seems as outdated at "M$FT is evil." Every company cancels projects. Flutter/Dart appears to have staying power.

Huh? The saying "Microsoft is evil" is as valid today as it was 20 years ago.

You seem to be correct (in so far as Firefox is also dead): https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=Xamarin,%2Fg%2F11...

I don't know about that. Pretty much all cross-platform solutions are a rounding error compared to the first-party Swift/Java platforms. I can believe there's potential for another yet.

Xamarin is huge in the .NET world and Microsoft is investing heavily into it. I know plenty of LOB apps, huge apps, built in Xamarin. I don't even know of a single app built in Flutter.

It's ok but not huge. I'm starting a second mobile app in native Xamarin and there are some pretty active communities around.

How do your font issue relate to a github security issue ?

No this is not related to that. I just posted a comment because many people will visit the site I mentioned, probably using Firefox.

I am able to reproduce this 'bug'. It's like mouse hijacking. Not able to select text on bugs.chromium.org when using Firefox.

Kitchenaid is made in china, at least the ones you can get in europe.
