The amount of intimate information necessary to prevent ads served to existing customers would put me right off the internet.

Sort of off topic, but Netflix sends my house snail mail ads, even thought we're already subscribers. I have no idea why, since it seems like it would be easy to fix.

Maybe they outsource to a service, and that service is purely demographic based.
