What about Gilfoyle ? He is my favorite, I guess because I am an engineer and also I guess a NBA (Natural Born Asshole) so I can relate. Maybe he is just your typical NBA Engineer ? Not any particular well known person.

Probably Martin Starr's personality + libertarian engineer. The core cast are less parodies than fleshed out characters you're supposed to root for.
