AMP is an optimization with narrow application focus than HTML has that introduces a number of things (including coupling, limitations on technologies other than HTML, etc.) that are undesirable in general for the broad role HTML has, but tolerable trade-offs for the focus of AMP.



To take an example, in what context is it better to have img tags that don't specify their width and height?
