ok i dont think snob has anything to do with upbringing, but yes- i dont really care for the tons of articles about new dumb frameworks etc, that would only be more annoying if i didnt use js. you are also allowed hate js. just kind of weird to parade around the internet proudly proclaiming it (not you, op)
