Well, the group paying the big bucks will get extremely mad at you for doing that... the value of the bug to them was that the bug worked.

You can disclose to Apple anonymously. In your defense, bugs can be found independently by different people.

A mitigation usually used for this is to split up payments into installments, ceasing if the bug is fixed. Not perfect of course, but generally deemed acceptable.
