Where? Even the few ML jobs I'm seeing are really 'basic' from a math point of view, as in apply well studied algorithms from well tested libraries in the most obvious ways to relatively small amount of data. The number of ML jobs that actually require you to understand the underlying building blocks of ML is tiny.
