The alternative still has to deal with the problem of paying for news share. News are shared all the time on Hacker News, Reddit, will these sites have to pay too?

Will people eventually have to pay, or give something else up, to share news links in email and text? Blog posts?

Yuh know, the web didn't used to be about advertising, those people just horned in and stank the place up. "We" were here first.
