Can you instead verify that each component is uncorrupted, a hardware hash function if you will? Looking at density, centre of gravity, weight, appearance, and/or radiographic imaging?


You'd have to verify the electrons match a specific known-good structure since a targeted attack is likely to simply modify the bits on the components (as in, a custom manufacturer-conspired/factory worker-conspired firmware) instead of swapping the components out.
