I have a laptop with the Crusoe chip in it. It's obviously very old, but I boot it up once in a while to make sure it still works.
It was a bit of a dream of mine to try to get past the emulation layer and write some native code, but I was never able to find a way to get around it. My theory was that it would be blazing fast without emulation. Everything looked like an x86 device no matter what I traced through or fuzzed.
I also had their handheld Zaurus. I kinda wish I never sold it, because it was as close to a smart device as you could get back then. It totally blew the Palm Pilot away.
