There are many constructions like multi-signature and multi-key that can remove a single point of failure threat of violence to a cryptosystem.

Can’t beat keys out of dead men.



But if the human died because law enforcement deemed them dangerous, due to some shitty law, then that human is still dead.


I think the problem in this scenario is law enforcement rather than math.


Math might not be the problem, but it doesn't appear to be the solution either ;)
