I would very much like to donate some cash to improving Emacs in general. It's been by far the single most powerful tool I've ever learnt and it's been a huge productivity boost.

Some of the suggested packages would be worthy recipients of donations, but I'd like to throw some cash towards improving Emacs on a more fundamental level. There have been lots of improvements recently but we could certainly do with more.

I know I can donate directly to the FSF, but I don't believe any of that would go towards Emacs development.
