This story is six months old. Preorders were opened in July last year. There has been no news or progress reports. The way to bet seems to be that it is vapour.

I put much more credence on Sipeed who are making a "compute module", called LM4A, using the same SoC, supposed to be out in the next month or so. Sipeed are planning am SBC (Lichee Pi 4A) to mount the module on, also a tablet, laptop, and a cluster motherboard taking perhaps half a dozen LM4As.

Sipeed have a good history of actually delivering products that people like, more or less on time e.g. their previous MAIX-I series based on the K210 SoC, the $4.90 (including a small colour LCD) Longan Nano, the Lichee RV - Nezha compute module based on the Allwinner D1 and docks for it. THat's just RISC-V stuff. They also have ARM and FPGA products.
