Given a 2021 cutoff, I'm not surprised that rust and Nix are too new for it to do well with. I've been using it to avoid actually learning what manifest.json looks like for Chrome extensions.
One thing that helps is telling it it's wrong or missing a case or whatever. It'll type out a fix (assuming it understands, which it frequently does) faster than I can.
