In light of the antidemocratic, capitalist extremist stance of our industry leaders - what can we as tech workers do? How can we act ethically, what can we do to not become accomplices to a hostile takeover of government?

When the goal is turning the state into a corporation, i.e. a for-profit-at-all-cost company where shareholders are the primary beneficiaries, we should invest into open source. In open standards. In open and free knowledge for all.

That said, in all matters of politics, there is never an easy and simple answer.
