The UK has encryption bans(backdoor on demand), VPN/Tor/I2P restrictions (illegal to advertise as bypasses), age/ID verification for websites and social media, age/ID verification for devices & app stores, key disclosure laws, mandatory mass metadata retention laws, and Google and Apple account required for online identity verification.

The US has none of those laws at the federal level.
