If we get to try and explain these times in like 30 years to our (grand-)children, I'm sure it will be with a great sense of embarrasment.

I hope one of these days we can get our priorities straight.

Do you feel any embarassment coming from the previous generation, which set the stage for what we have now? I think it will be much of the same.

All the time. Politically speaking the past is quite embarrassing.

in the west older generations hold much more power over who gets elected, demographically speaking, and look at what's going on. They feel no shame whatsoever and are doubling down.

Sometimes. Depends who you ask. Some boomers are in glorious denial. Many are still in bloody office. The ones I’ve heard opine about embarrassment and failure are mostly those that’ve been trended towards fight-the-power for their adult lives.

No their heads are in the sand as they exit the stage. Pathetic.

I feel resentment and contempt to every previous generation of humans and embarassment for my generation for sure

Every human on earth should be embarrassed at the state of the anthropocentric world

I'm proud of our long and amazing climb upwards, from brutality to technological civilization.

Thanks to all our forefathers that have passed their gifts onwards.

You have a propagandized version of human history

Life in a hunter gatherer tribe doesn’t look anything like your ignorance portrays

analog brutality, that thing of the past. much better now with technological brutality

Prehistoric humans get a pass in my book. They seemed to have a cozy life.

Their greed turned a lush world into what you see today

Hopefully our grand children are alive to hear that explanation.

There is no 'we'.
