I know several older people who live active, happy lives. Why is it so hard to admit this filth causes depression? There is research evidence for it, you know, a google search away.

Survivorship bias is also a thing. I'm not saying this neighbor I've never met was happy. Just that many of these symptoms are signs of aging.
