   897 of 4694 (19%) respondents said they were excited

So, for example, if all of the ones who were excited also said they were hopeful, then only 23% of respondents are "hopeful or excited about the tech industry".

Roughly half of devs feeling happy and secure about the next 5 years is a LOT better than I expected.

better than expected doenst equal good tho

50% staying in the career means 50% reduction. That's not very optimistic at all!

Presumably this is only a bright point if you dont think its false hope?
