Well, not really. If we look at programmers by skill level and number that skill level from 0-9. If you have 100 "5ers", than the average is 5. And yes, than most programmers are average.
If you have 50 "1s" and 50 "9s", the average will still be 5, but no one is average.
If you have 50 "1s" and 50 "9s", the average will still be 5, but no one is average.
