You raise some solid points - however don't you think that Google Glass will actually improve the experience? Instead of people walking down the sidewalk with their head's down staring at their phones, they can actually take in and enjoy more of their surroundings and live more in the moment.
Along the same lines, the ability to record and snap pictures on demand based on what you are actually in the midst of experiencing is a pretty powerful thing! Much more immersive and authentic than the hordes of people watching sporting events and concerts thru their 3.5in iPhone screens!
