Any recommendations for open source serif fonts?




Hate to be that guy, but Computer Modern [1].

Out of TTF "natives" check out DejaVu Serif [2] and Droid Serif [3]. I've read countless ebooks set in the later.

I'm partial to Serif myself, so I know what you mean :-)

In addition to Droid Serif, Liberation serif and Linux Libertine and Gentium recommended here, check out PT Serif also. Very readable on high resolutions and medium body fonts...

All these sets below, are complete (R, SC, B ,IT, B+IT...) fonts AFAIK.
