I like it when someone changes his mind because of reality.

In a way, I find the arguments given here irrelevant. Sure they're persuasive, but not much more persuasive than the opposite arguments. What really matters is the fact that one option is just working better than the other in practice. It takes mental flexibility to try this, and be willing to see the results, when one's preconceptions run the other way.
