Right now it isn't very useful as there is only one pertinent criterion (swimming pool) (therefore this isn't very selective) and the database isn't shock-full of properties (therefore there isn't much 'noise' in a query result).
However I bet that, with time, other boolean criteria will appear while the DB will grow, leading to more and more need for selectivity (weeding out 'noise').
I'm currently reading "The myth of normal" by Gabor Mate, MD. Not a book about MS specifically but he presents there some cases of MS which were managed using some non-standard approaches. It might be interesting for you what he has to say about the causes and 'treatment' of the illness.
Thank you, I love Gabor Maté, I mean I'm sort of attached to him for being such a kind person, and I love hear him talk. I didn't know his book also touches on MS. Just got the audiobook, thanks!
If I was making policies I would oblige manufacturers of anything to take back and recycle their product at the end of life. This would make sure products/packagings are made to be recyclable and/or biodegradable.
This should be applied not only to clothing, but really everything. I would expect the first result would be no single use plastics anywhere.
Obviously the cost of the change would be transferred to consumers on the purchase price. However we are already paying it in a deferred manner with the degradation of the natural world.
Yeah — I think a “you sell it, you scrap it” law would de-externalize a lot of really harmful end-user sales: not just for source manufacturers, but every middle-man in between.
Not sure if that is enough given that most product returns are destroyed - from iPads to brand new clothes. So than that rule is already out I think?
Though an extension that that is forbidden in some sense should be fair. Or a rule that forbids the relative amount of trash produced by a company?
Here in Norway we have a law to handle recycling and waste handling of electrical equipment[1].
It requires importers and producers of electrical and electronic equipment to be a member of a return company like Norsirk or RENAS[2], directly funding the collection, recycling and waste handling.
Something similar could be introduced for other product groups as well like clothes.
The customer ends up holding the negative exernality with little ability to affect the upstream pipeline. By sending the waste "back up the pipe" it becomes each middle-company's problem. The point being that each company now has to consider how to get rid of their own generated waste. It de-externalizes the waste problem.
If they choose to put the waste in to a landfill, then so be it: they have to pay to do that.
Are they giving any rationale for removing each episode? I would be interested to see why the Tim Ferris episode didn’t make it. Or Bill Burr for that matter - was he not funny enough?
> What intellectual property rights are you asserting?
Not sure I understand the question correctly. As an author of the source code I hold the IP. I'm suing to stop the company from using my code and for compensation for the time they are using it without permission.
> Did you consult with an attorney?
Yes, the case is submitted to the court and awaiting a trial.
I can think of two forms of IP that might apply: copyright and patent. I was curious if either of those formed the basis for your claim, and if so, what your attorney might recommend for capturing evidence for your particular case.
The best career is the one that gives you joy and fulfillment. If CS is what floats your boat then it’s the right choice for you.
Go for career that pays much more but you must drag yourself from bed to go to the office every morning and you are set up for a life of misery - no matter how much money you make.
Usually it leads to unemployment. People want to do the same things as each other, but we can't all be football stars. We can't even all teach kindergarten or nursery school, and the low pay of such jobs is the natural result of many people wanting those jobs. People enjoy getting BA degrees in psychology, then discover that they do not enjoy paying the student loans while working as unskilled labor.
Wait until you see what some 3D artists work for. Due to the fierce competition, many of them consider themselves lucky just to be working in their field of choice, and getting paid a minimal wage is just an added bonus.
Niche real estate portal for foreigners looking to buy a property in Spain.
I’ve built it in Ruby on Rails and hosting on Heroku.
Running free trials for realtors in case anyone’s interested :-)
But I would mostly appreciate feedback about what you are missing from existing real estate portals.
